Our Story

Aristata Press is a woman-owned press established in 2020.  We began because we had a story to tell, and couldn’t wait as long as it normally takes to get a book published. Our first author was our friend, mother, and mother-in-law, Megan Brown McClard,  in her 95th year when we released her book, LEAVINGS: Memoir of a 1920s Hollywood Love Child on October 31st of 2022. We plan to publish some of her other works of fiction, poetry, and children’s literature in the near future.

Since our beginning, we have published five other books, and during 2024 will publish three to four more, with others already in the pipeline.
