Publications News

Judy and I have been busy building our non-profit publishing company. In the last year we published two books, Leavings: Memoir of a Hollywood Love Child by Megan McClard, and the Spanish language version of Tell Mother I’m in Paradise: Memoirs of a Political Prisoner in El Salvador, which was published in early 2022 by the University of Alabama Press.

In 2023 we will publisher four books. The first, with an August 14th release date, Rough Magic: At Home on the Columbia Slough by Nancy Henry and Bruce CampbellThis is a wonderful environmental/naturalist memoir about one couple’s experience living on an urban waterway in Portland, Oregon. In addition to being beautifully written with a great sense of humor, this book’s pen and ink illustrations by Amanda Marisa Williams are delightful.

On September 7th, Anne McClard‘s debut novel, Butterfly Dreams, will come out. Her novel contains elements of magical realism, romance, and mystery. If you have always dreamed of stealing away to a remote island, this book might provide just the adventure you are looking for.

Abuk Makuac’s memoir, co-written with Susan ClarkWomen Caught in the Crossfire: One Woman’s Quest for Peace in the Midst of Civil War, is slated for an October 1st release.  Their book tells the heroic story of Abuk’s flight from war-torn Sudan to becoming a peace activist.

Our final publication, Raising Owen, a memoir written by Suzanne Lezotte, will release on October 21st.  In it, she tells the story of raising her son Owen who has Down syndrome from birth to college, embracing full inclusion and the battles they fought along the way. At this time, we don’t have an active link to more information for her book.
